Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that operates the results function. The directory does not keep its own copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use that information to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
The hosting environment may create routine logs, including IP address, browser type, pages requested, and visit times. We use aggregated information to maintain the directory and understand general page use. Cookies or comparable tools may be used for basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to run and secure the directory, diagnose problems, measure overall traffic, and improve the reference material. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Websites
Links may lead to Bloomfield Township, Oakland County, Michigan, library, archive, or third-party search services. The recipient service's own privacy notice controls information submitted after leaving this directory. Sponsored search results are also provided by an outside company.
Who Can Process Data
Hosting and site-support providers process routine logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when required by valid legal process and not for unrelated purposes.
Data Safeguards
The directory uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because the directory has no accounts, it does not store a user password or account profile for visitors.
Visitors Under 18
This directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor sent information to us, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, or deletion of information a website holds about you. Because this directory retains very little, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs, then removing information found there. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by Michigan, Oakland County, or Bloomfield Township offices are outside our control and must be addressed to the responsible custodian. Michigan FOIA, 1976 PA 442, MCL 15.231 et seq., governs public-record requests but does not override statutory confidentiality.
Policy Updates
We will post a revised policy here when this policy changes. Continued use after publication of a revision indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
