1. Directory Purpose
Bloomfield Township Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public-record indexes, official portals, and historical collections connected to Bloomfield Township, Michigan. It does not host government records and is not associated with an office, court, library, or records custodian.
2. Permitted Use
Use the directory only for lawful purposes. Neither the directory nor information reached through it may be used to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make an FCRA-regulated decision involving credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another covered purpose
- Scrape, reproduce, or republish directory content at scale
- Disrupt the directory's operation or security
3. No Consumer Reports
The directory is not a consumer reporting agency as that term is defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. ยง 1681 et seq. Material here and material returned by a linked search tool are not consumer reports. They may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.
4. Outside Services
Government portals and outside services, including sponsored search tools, set their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their content, fees, availability, or treatment of submitted data.
5. No Warranty
The directory is made available "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that information is complete, accurate, current, or that a linked service will operate or return a correct result.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the directory operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or related damages arising from use of the directory or a linked resource, including decisions based on a record lead.
7. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the directory operators from claims, demands, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from your misuse of the directory or breach of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
Original directory text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. You may link to a page and quote a short attributed excerpt, but may not republish complete pages or systematically copy directory content.
9. Changes to Terms
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Use after a revision means you accept the revised terms.
10. Access Restrictions
We may suspend or limit access, without notice and at our discretion, for a violation of these terms or misuse of the directory.
11. Michigan Law
Michigan law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Public-record access questions are subject to the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, 1976 PA 442, MCL 15.231 et seq., and to the separate statutes and court rules that limit particular record types.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
